How Reiki Helps Our Body to Keep Our Chakras Open

Our chakras are the body’s energetic gateways — seven subtle centres that help us feel well and spiritually aligned. When these centres flow freely, we feel good and our life feels great and lighter. When they become blocked, we may feel stuck, tired, unwell or out of balance.

Reiki is a beautiful way to help keep these chakras open. Through gentle, intentional healing, Reiki encourages the body to relax, release tension, and return to its natural state of harmony and being. As the energy flows through my hands each chakra receives exactly what it needs to restore to its natural balance. I work with twelve chakras. The seven main chakras that I work with are shown below.

A Brief Look at the Chakras

  • Root Chakra – Red - grounding, safety, stability, lower digestive system, genital organs, skeletal system

  • Sacral Chakra – Orange - creativity, emotions, flow, reproductive organs, kidneys, intestines, adrenal glands

  • Solar Plexus Chakra – Yellow - confidence, personal power, liver, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas

  • Heart Chakra – Green - love, compassion, connection, heart, lungs, thymus gland

  • Throat Chakra – Blue - communication, truth, jaw, neck, thyroid gland

  • Third Eye Chakra – Indigo - intuition, clarity, neurological, eyes, pituitary gland

  • Crown Chakra – Purple - spiritual connection, higher awareness, central nervous system, pineal gland

Reiki gently supports the chakras by helping the energy to move where it needs to go which helps the body to heal itself. It makes people feel more balanced, centred and connected to themselves.
